Jelly's Favorite Place to Perch

Jelly loves to survey her garden and watch for any squirrel intrusions.  It makes me happy to see her looking so relaxed.

Jelly of the Redwods

Jelly's dad take her on adventures in Redwood Park including this special pool deep in the trees and shade where it's quiet and cool.

The original Jelly Bean collar

from whence her name came.   She already responded to it so be it.  Never a name I would have chosen but now I love it.  Suits my serious/silly girl.

Keeping warm

Back when it used to rain in California, Jelly and I would go running in the rain at Tilden park.   We'd come back muddy and wet but exhilarated.   I have one heater in my tiny house and Jelly had first dibs.

I love how she rests her chin on my drying running shoes in the second shot.   Why not?

Jelly and her Dad

Jelly's dad takes her on a lot of off-trail hikes (which is often the source of her icky ticks).   Frankly, he encourages some less than desirable behavior all in "good fun."   He's never been bit but they do play some pretty, umm, lively games.

Jelly and Me!

I'm usually the one behind the camera, but here are a few pictures of me and my girl.

Who needs email when there's Jelly mail

Jelly likes to visit my sister's family next door just in case there is any food on the floor that needs eating.   If the back door is open she heads on in.

The other day she returned from her foraging with a note attached.   My sister wanted to borrow some spice and sent Jelly back with a note asking if I had it.

Jelly clearly takes her job seriously.
